The 2022 Wagoneer is family transportation with elegant, unique styling, unlike any other three-row SUV. Nods to past Wagoneer models can be found in the architecture of the new design, and true to the roots of the original, the 2022 Wagoneer delivers best-in-class features and conveniences that make family travel some of the most comfortable accommodations on the road. Whether driving to a remote location to capture a stunning sunset or heading to school and work in your daily routine, you can visit Faricy Chrysler Jeep, your Colorado Wagoneer dealer, to discover new frontiers of family travel assisted by innovative new technology. Some of the best tech features of the Wagoneer might surprise you with premium audio, touchscreens, and driver-assist features that modernize every aspect of what an SUV can be.

Advanced Technology

Every 2022 Wagoneer model comes with a wide range of technology built into the systems on board. Beginning with smartphones, connectivity for devices won’t require any cords for the front seat passengers with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto combined with available wireless charging. Passengers in the second and third rows have convenient charging ports to plug in devices, with up to 11 available ports throughout the entire 2022 Wagoneer. An impressive 45 inches of available screen in the front row digitizes the cabin for all passengers, and more screens located throughout the Wagoneer provide additional entertainment and device interaction options.

In the driver’s seat, the 10.25-inch liquid crystal display is bright and colorful to be easy to read at a glance and is configurable with over 20 menus for the driver’s preferences. Whether choosing driver-assist tech activation, media content being played through the infotainment, caller ID for phone use, drive modes, or any other options within the menus, the driver can be informed instantly about any systems on board. Plus, the option to utilize the full-screen driver display for turn-by-turn directions or for pertinent data when off-roading puts the driver in command. Every driver’s preferences for screen displays can be saved as a user profile, so settings are consistent no matter who is in the driver’s seat.

The large driver’s display is matched in size by an available passenger display. Located in the dash in front of the passenger, the 10.25-inch touchscreen is linked to the infotainment Uconnect 5 system, a feature available starting with the Series II trim. This display behaves much like the infotainment system in the center stack, with the capability to update navigation, share screens, and even access entertainment or music through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Every 2022 Wagoneer has the capability to be accessed remotely through an app for smartphones, which allows users to contact a Wagoneer Ambassador if in need of assistance, as well as for scheduling servicing, checking the Wagoneer’s status, and more.

Entertainment for Everyone

Whether taking long drives or just running errands in town, having access to entertainment is part of what makes riding in the 2022 Wagoneer a perfect vehicle for families. With the user-friendly Uconnect 5C Nav infotainment system, there are a number of ways to play music or content through the audio system. Bluetooth streaming, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, Amazon Alexa, and AM/FM radio are all accessible for staying entertained on trips. The 10.1-inch touchscreen flows with the design of the dashboard as a part of the overall sleek appearance inside the cabin, and swiping through the screens and interacting with menus is intuitive for anyone familiar with a smartphone.

Users can now customize the home screen of the infotainment touchscreen to preferred apps most commonly used for quick access; an available 12-inch screen increases the visibility of on-screen data and images for clearer viewing and interaction. The WiFi system built into the 2022 Wagoneer supports up to eight devices at once, and expanded services for 2022 models include SiriusXM 360L and Pandora. Music played through the audio system means clear and dynamic sound quality with the standard nine-speaker Alpine system, and the available McIntosh audio system with 19 speakers is an audiophile’s dream. Live music sound quality from McIntosh will amaze any passenger with the stunning sound, a system optional only for the Series III trim.

Rear-seat passengers can enjoy the entertainment system with two 10.25-inch screens mounted to the front seat backs. The dual screens can play the same content, or passengers can choose to watch their own programs at the same time. Use the WiFi to stream shows using a service linked to an in-vehicle app, or enjoy content streamed through available Amazon FireTV built into the entertainment system. In addition, the system can be operated through the included remote control or via voice commands which can be directed through a microphone on the remote, compatible with all entertainment screens. Using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto allows for compatible apps to stream content through the screens as well, which means entertainment for the second and third rows is wide open for drives of any length.

Safety in Numbers

Between the 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, 120 driver-assist safety features are standard across the two lineups. Those are strong numbers, and with so much safety technology at hand, the Wagoneer will readily reduce the number and severity of accidents on the road. All 2022 Wagoneer models will come standard with a set of features that includes Active Lane Management with gentle steering assistance to maintain lane centering and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go that takes cruise control to the next level with the capability to remember the set speed even when traffic slows to a stop. Rear Cross Path Detection and Rear Park Sensors assist the driver when pulling out of a parking space or during parking maneuvers, including automated braking assist in case the driver doesn’t stop fast enough to avoid a collision.

An available head-up display is up to ten inches in size as it reflects on the windshield and can be configured to show when safety features are activated as part of its numerous functions. In addition to safety features, navigation information can be displayed to keep the driver’s eyes on the road ahead if preferred over the driver instrument cluster. All settings configured can be saved to a driver’s profile, just like the instrument display. When rear-seat passengers or cargo make visibility through the rear window difficult, the available digital rearview mirror utilizes a camera to show the driver what is behind the Wagoneer, unobstructed. When finished, the driver can revert to the standard mirror by using the lever at the mirror’s base.

More available safety features include the 360-degree Surround View Camera, which shows overhead views around the Wagoneer for safer parking and low-speed driving in tight spaces. This system is available for all 2022 Wagoneer trims and includes a camera washer to keep visibility clear. A Drowsy Driver Detection system monitors driving behavior to sense erratic driving, such as drifting out of the lane or off the road and issues a warning to the driver that unsafe driving has occurred. The driver is encouraged to pull over for rest, and if the driver doesn’t react, the system provides steering and braking to maintain safety until the driver pulls over, a feature available for the Series III trim.

Additional Features We Like Best

For 2022, the Wagoneer has received an astounding number of upgrades to the systems and available features for technology. One of those upgrades includes over-the-air updates for the navigation system built into 2022 models. Maps and current road information will always be the most recent available, so finding your way to your destination means having the most accurate data to get you there. When you’re parked rather than on the road, the 2022 Wagoneer offers a clever way to relax, with five available settings for ambient lighting and on-screen animation to soothe your mind in Relax Mode. Our last favorite tech feature is the available rear-seat camera system with zoom capability that allows the front seat passengers to see the rear seats on camera, including infrared for low lighting. With so many exciting new technologies to make your family time on the road so simple and entertaining, every family is going to want a new 2022 Wagoneer.
