Military Discount & Support at Faricy Jeep Colorado Springs, CO
The Jeep was built for a war. We opened a year later, in the middle of the same one. Over eighty years later, we are still here, in a city where a very large share of our neighbors have served or are serving.
This page is about what that actually means for military customers at Faricy Chrysler Jeep — the programs, the people, and a story that ties the vehicle on our lot to the one your grandfather might have driven.
1941 and 1942
The Army needed a light reconnaissance vehicle that could go anywhere. What came out of that requirement was the Willys MB — small, tough, four-wheel drive, and produced in enormous numbers through the Second World War. Soldiers called it a jeep. Eisenhower later named it among the things that won the war, alongside the Dakota and the landing craft, and he was not being sentimental: it moved men, towed guns, carried wounded and went where nothing else could.
In 1942, while those vehicles were coming off the line in Toledo, a family business opened in southern Colorado. That was us.
Three generations later we sell the direct descendant of that vehicle — the Wrangler keeps the seven-slot grille, the round headlights and the removable doors for a reason. It is a lineage you can trace in a straight line, and we have been part of it for nearly all of it.
A Military Town, and Our Town
Colorado Springs is one of the most concentrated military communities in the United States. Fort Carson, Peterson Space Force Base, Schriever Space Force Base, Cheyenne Mountain and the Air Force Academy all sit inside this county. A large share of the people who walk into our showroom have served, are serving, or are married to someone who is.
That shapes how we work. We know what a PCS timeline does to a car purchase. We know that “I deploy in six weeks” changes which questions matter. We know a spouse may be handling the whole thing alone while their partner is away, and that a deployment can mean a vehicle sitting unused for months. None of that is unusual here. It is most of what we do.
We Hire Veterans
A meaningful number of the people on our sales floor, in our service drive and behind our parts counter served first. That is not a hiring initiative with a name — it is what happens when you have run a business in this city for three generations.
The practical upside for you: when you explain that your orders came through and you need this sorted in nine days, the person across the desk has probably done it themselves.

Freedom Alliance and US Bank
Faricy participates in the Freedom Alliance and US Bank vehicle donation program, which gives payment-free vehicles to wounded veterans and their families.
Most recently we supplied a new Jeep Grand Cherokee for Marine Corps veteran Dustin Gabehart and his family — the 69th vehicle donated through the program. Gabehart served on a route clearance team in Afghanistan, was injured by an IED, and was medically retired in 2015 after twenty surgeries. He has spent the last seven years volunteering as a football coach at La Junta High School.

Serving overseas?
There may be additional incentives available to you. Plenty of people sort the whole thing out from where they are stationed and have the vehicle ready when they land. If that is you, start the conversation early — (719) 867-5699, or email works fine too.
How to claim it
Verification runs through a third-party service rather than through us, which keeps it simple. You submit a few basic details, they confirm your status, and you get an authorization number back. Bring that number here and we apply the Bonus Cash to your deal.
Get your authorization number before you finalize anything — it has to be in hand at the time of purchase, and it is the one step that trips people up.
What we can tell you without the paperwork in front of you:
- Manufacturer military programs usually require a certificate pulled before purchase. Find out first rather than at the desk.
- Eligibility rules differ by brand. Qualifying at one manufacturer does not guarantee qualifying at another.
- Call us at (719) 867-5699 and we will check your eligibility before you come in — no obligation.
If You Are PCSing
Orders come with a timeline, and it is rarely a generous one. A few things that make a vehicle purchase or sale easier inside it:
Tell us the date. Not an approximate one — the actual report date. It changes what we recommend, what we can order versus what has to come from stock, and how we sequence the paperwork.
Start the financing early. Apply online before you have picked anything. Knowing your number up front removes the step most likely to slow you down later.
Selling rather than buying? We will appraise your vehicle and buy it outright whether or not you buy from us. Start an appraisal — it takes about fifteen minutes and there is no obligation.
Handle it remotely if that is easier. Phone, text or email — your choice. We deliver free within 100 miles, and for a nominal fee beyond that, quoted upfront.* If you are already at your next duty station and need to sort out the vehicle you left behind, call us.
