It’s hard to imagine, but Jeep is already talking about what’s coming up with its 2019 lineup, and what the brand is offering will have you ready to make a Jeep purchase this year! Jeep Wrangler has been a staple in the SUV market for more than two decades, and that’s not changing anytime soon. Jeep Cherokee has added luxury onto the Jeep performance base and has become one of the best-selling SUVs on the market. With 2019 fast-approaching, the new Jeep models will shake things up and add in more styles that are sure to stop you in your tracks!

2019 Jeep Wrangler

The Jeep Wrangler is one of the most iconic Jeep models on the market, and it just keeps getting better.

Trim Levels

The Wrangler was made for off-road adventures with an SUV frame that comes in two- and four-door styles. There are four trim levels on the 2018 Wrangler—Sport, Sport S, Rubicon, and Sahara—that are expected to carry into the 2019 lineup, but it has been rumored that a new Wrangler will be offered—a 2019 Wrangler pick-up truck. All models are expected to have the same basic design as the 2018, but there will be some noticeable differences in the performance of the Wrangler, particularly new LED lighting and more open-air options, including allowing the doors and roof to be removed. Base cars will still get a 5.0-inch screen, but 7.0-inch and 8.4-inch versions will be available in the higher-end models, and optional SiriusXM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a navigation system will be available.

Driver assist safety features include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera.

For 2019, the Wrangler will have a diesel-engine option. The 285-hp 3.6-liter V-6 and 270-hp 2.0-liter turbo-four should all remain, and so will the six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions. But a new turbodiesel V-6 is slated to join the lineup, and a plug-in hybrid is said to hit the UK market in the 2019 models.

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler Truck Now, let’s get back to this rumor of a truck joining the lineup of Jeep models. Jeep has been teasing us with this one for a while, but it seems this may not be a rumor anymore! The pickup is said to premier at the end of this year and will have four doors and a longer wheelbase. There has been no confirmation on whether it will have a two-door option, though. The name of this new truck also hasn’t been revealed, but it has been called the “Scrambler” in several circles, as a nod to the original CJ-8 scrambler. Aside from that, not much else has been confirmed about this new and exciting addition to the Jeep lineup, except that Jeep manufacturers expect them to sell like crazy.

2019 Jeep Cherokee

The Jeep vehicle with some of the most significant changes this year is the Cherokee. Jeep revamped the Cherokee adding a new design that aids in better lights for the vehicle (one of the biggest complaints about it was that it had poor lighting), more interior room, and another engine option.

The narrow front and odd-shaped grille have been replaced by a flatter front grille with the well-known Jeep slots. Also noticeable are the larger headlamps, which make for better lighting and a look that definitely makes it part of the Jeep family. The whole body is more rounded and flows smoother, with a capless fuel door, tail lamps with an LED light wrapping around its edges, higher and easily accessed handle on the lift-gate, and a hands-free liftgate option also available. It will be offered in five trim levels: Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, Overland, and Trailhawk. Performance Jeep added in a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder to join the base 2.4-liter four-cylinder and larger 3.2-liter V6. Interior StyleSome noticeable interior changes add a more premium feel to the Jeep Cherokee. There will be two new interior colors: Storm Blue (available on Latitude and Latitude Plus) and Dark Sienna (available on the Overland). The Latitude will have a gold interior, and the Overland will feature satin chrome accents and matte piano black surfaces. Like the exterior, the interior has a more streamlined look and less-bulky surfaces with the infotainment system screen placed inside the bezel and surrounded by better-designed vents. The dashboard is slightly higher and more forward, giving it a roomier feel and look.

All Jeep models come equipped with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and the 2019 Jeep Cherokees will offer Infotainment, the latest-generation Uconnect, offering bigger and clearer graphics, a smart menu system, Wi-Fi connections, speech-to-text capability, fast responses, and more.

2019 Grand Cherokee

A lot of car buffs don’t expect many changes to the Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2019. Being one of Jeep’s popular models, the biggest changes will come in the upgraded interior colors and materials, and the addition of new technology (like Infotainment). Aside from those minor tweaks, you can expect the same great look and performance, as well as the same trim levels, with this Jeep model. When it is the most awarded SUV on the market, why change it? The 2019 Jeep Renegade will bring about some major changes. So far, all that is really known about the changes that are coming is that the new Renegade will have a redesigned front bumper, repositioned fog lights, a larger screen, and redesigned dashboard. At this point, it is only speculated that the Renegade will get a boost under the hood, but some projections have it offering a turbocharged four-cylinder. Others think another option could be keeping the current 2.4-liter four-cylinder and adding a fuel-economy-enhancing system to make it a mini-hybrid. While none of this is set in stone, it is unlikely the lineup of trim levels will change, and Renegade will still have the basic Sport, upgraded Latitude, off-road Trailhawk, and upscale Limited trim models.

With 2019 just around the corner, these new Jeep models will be rolling out soon, and we can’t wait to see what changes were made, what was the same, and will completely blow our minds! There is much to look forward to, and the 2019 Jeep lineup has a lot to offer.
