Well, I love my JT, but any list of best Jeeps to buy has to include the TJ/LJ in my opinion, and definitely over the YJ 😉
Honestly think the yj should be replaced with TJ in this article specifically the 97-99 TJ not only is it when they brought in the coil springs but also got the round headlights back not that the shape of headlights would ever be a deciding factor for the purchase of a vehicle but gotta say if sure does look much better not to mention tj was the last run with the straight6 4.0L by amc absolutely bullet proof if taking care of

My jk wangler with the all aluminum Lt 1 and 10sp chevy power plant will do anything the 392 and more and much lighter

Hi, read your story..disappointed that you forgot the grandaddy of jeeps the CJs . We own 1979 CJ5 and would not take anything for it..we have it had it redone, really little to do to it. No rust on body or frame. Stock pretty much, only
chrome wheels and dropped in 360 instead 304. No lift… Looking for a 4 door JL prefer ALL white, low milage

I personally have had many jeeps and the Tj is the best for off road. That being said the I6 is a great engine but a v8 would be much better as was put in some of the CJs

Idk,but a 2016 isn’t the best,engine issues,and mechanics say throw engine out at 100,000 miles it’s done. Penstar V6? Should had a V8 option.
II have a 1999 TJ with a straight six and 5 speed transmission. I really like the front suspension better than the early model you talked about. Why was it committed.

I have a 2005 with the 60 in the 6-speed and I think it’s the best jeep ever it’s going on 20 years old and still has no check engine lights haven’t done anything really major to it
Yeah, whoever wrote this article missed the boat. TJ’s ( especially the 98-99 years) are way better than the YJ’s. Coil spring suspension for a superior ride, 4.0L bulletproof engine, and no Renault stuff. Better heater also.

To me when you think of a jeep or general purpose vehicle as the original military designation I think of the CJ. Today’s Jeeps have gotten away from the original purpose and is used for commutes to work and trips around town. I will stick with my jeep a CJ 7 which stands for civilian jeep. I have a 1983 CJ 7 and I love it.
I’ve owned my 05 TJ for over 10yrs and love it! It has over 220K miles and is my daily driver which I love. Wish I could find a good mechanic that lives jeeps as much as I do! Would love to get a hold of a soft top gladiator!
I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport and I LOVE it!! In the last 19 years, I’ve driven nothing but a Jeep, I’ve leased a 2006 Jeep Liberty, lease ran out and bought it, had it 10 years, traded that in for a a 2012 Jeep Liberty, i absolutely 100% love that Liberty, i had my heart set on a Jeep Wrangler! Bought one 3 years ago! She is my Emotional Supprt Vehicle!! Laugh all u want, but I love it!!
