A Star Parts With a Legend

In a recent Craigslist post, Jake Owen advertised his 1990 Jeep Wagoneer, featuring a wood-paneled and baby blue exterior, which he is selling for $23,000 or best offer.

Rich with sentimental value for the country star, the Wagoneer is also in great condition. The ad states, “This Jeep is fully restored and fully functional. It’s been featured on the duPont Registry, due to the quality of its restoration by Unique Automotive. It has also been in multiple music videos by the owner, Jake Owens.”

In a tweet, Owen shared the Craigslist post, adding a caption that, “She’s being retired from the road.  Needs a good home.”

Saying goodbye is clearly hard for Owen, who has invested a lot into maintaining the vehicle during the time he’s owned her. The greatest investment, however, are the memories he associates with that Jeep and others like it, particularly those childhood memories made with his dad.

According to Owen, reminiscing about the Wagoneer, “My dad had a white one, and a green one…and the cool thing about those Jeeps are they have this bench seat, and when you’re a kid riding around with your dad it was so cool if you could be like, right up next to him.”

Aside from being fully restored, Owen’s Wagoneer is also completely functional, evidenced by its 92,000 miles, and featuring 4×4, locking differentials, A/C, along with – not surprisingly – a top of the line sound system, as well as power windows, power seats for the driver and passenger, power locks, dual fog lights, and brand new BF Goodrich mud terrain tires, measuring 31×10.50/R15.

Thanks to Owen’s attentive upkeep, the Wagoneer is also rust free.

Jeep is a legendary automotive line, steeped in history, and consistently celebrated in popular culture. Ready to “Go Anywhere, Do Anything,” Jeeps are perfect vehicles for making memories, as Owen knows.

Summer is winding down. Now is the perfect time to get behind the wheel of a Jeep and chase down some adventures while the days are stay long.

Get out and make some of your own memories in a “Go Anywhere, Do Anything” Jeep.
