It’s fair to say that very few other vehicles are as iconic as the Jeep Wrangler. You don’t have to be a car buff to know a Wrangler when you see one. Jeep’s unmistakable style and architecture have made the Wrangler one of the most popular vehicles in history, even among people who have never been inside of one (and those who have been inside of one know that the looks are only the beginning). There’s no such thing as a not-awesome Wrangler. However, 2023 is an especially exciting year for the Wrangler, with a number of limited special editions which take the Wrangler to a whole new level of awesomeness that drivers have never experienced before. So, if you are looking for a Jeep Wrangler for sale, you may want to ask us about some of these models.

The High Tide

The Wrangler High Tide is a beach lover’s dream. Sure, all Wranglers are good beach vehicles with their open-air design, but this one leans into the beach life in a unique way. The Wrangler High Tide is equipped with the Xtreme Recon Package, which makes the vehicle well-suited for sandy driving. In addition to the High Tide’s 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, you will get the Xtreme Recon Package, which includes 35-inch BF Goodrich T/A KO2 tires and 17-by-8-inch beadlock-capable wheels. When you’re off-roading, having the right wheel-tire combo is of the utmost importance; without the right foundation, the car won’t be able to rise to the task. With a rear axle ratio of 4.56 and a 1.5-inch factory-installed suspension lift, the High Tide is ready to clear any obstacles those sandy beaches may bring with them (such as high tides, perhaps).

Outside of the Xtreme Recon Package, the Wrangler High Tide has some exciting features of its own, such as a body-colored hardtop and a Sunrider Fliptop. While the hardtop is a useful feature for when you’re dedicated to having a closed-roof drive, whether it’s for weather purposes or for the duration of the trip, the fliptop is perfect for those times when you may want to alternate between open-air and closed-roof. Aside from fast changes in weather, having the fliptop is perfect if you’re on a longer-length road trip and you may be switching between longer stretches of freeway driving and sunny side roads. Regardless of your journey, having versatile options like this will make the trip better.

The High Tide also includes sand/slush mats, which is a highly-necessary feature for any beach vehicle, as it makes sure that any water or sand (or, even worse…wet sand) which comes into your vehicle is easily disposable and does not stay in the car longer than it has to. The inclusion of rock rails also means that you’ll be able to find your way to your ideal beach spot, even if it includes some rocky roads along the way.

You may be wondering, “Why, as a Colorado dealer, are you talking so much about a beach model?” Fair question; after all, we’re not a coastal state. However, Colorado is home to a number of beautiful lakes, which include beautiful beaches. Because of the unique beauty of our state, those beaches are surrounded by more dynamic, mountainous terrains than many other beaches. Because of this, a beach Wrangler like the High Tide is perfect for Colorado drivers because it provides all of the makings of a great beach vehicle with the baseline competency to tackle mountainous terrains or softer trails as well. The Wrangler High Tide is definitely one of the more exciting developments of 2023, and we encourage everyone to check it out.

The 20th Anniversary Editions: 4xe and 392

Another reason 2023 is a big year for the Wrangler is that it’s the 20th birthday of the Wrangler Rubicon! In order to celebrate, Jeep has released a special Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition for the Wrangler 4xe and Rubicon 392 models. Now, there’s a lot to be excited about in the 2023 20th Anniversary Edition of the Wrangler Rubicon. It’s the most capable Wrangler ever, it’s a huge piece of Wrangler history, and there are all kinds of great features. However, there is one component that stands out in particular: it can be a hybrid.

The Rubicon 4xe 20th Anniversary Edition is powered by a PHEV plug-in hybrid powertrain. This piece of machinery really showcases the Wrangler’s power, with an output of 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Most importantly, you’ll get to enjoy an almost silent drive when you take advantage of the 22 miles of all-electric range. Perhaps the most exciting part for those of you who are looking to spend less money on gas is that this powertrain brings with it a fuel economy of 49 MPGe; that means more time spent enjoying your Wrangler 4xe and less time and money wasted on gas stops––it’s a win-win. However, if you want the most exciting drive, opting for the Rubicon 392 with its 470-hp engine will be the way to go.

The advantages of the Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition are not only in terms of power and practicality. You better believe that this staple of vehicle fashion is pulling out all the stops when it comes to style. In fact, this historic special edition is taking a whole new take on the signature seven-slot front grille, and it’s got a number of specially-marked 20th Anniversary items, including hood decals (with an electric blue theme, mind you), swing gate plaques, and shifter medallions. Of course, all of these things are of great help on the practical level, but they also make for a stylish ride, and the reminder that your vehicle is part of such a special moment in Jeep’s history makes it a very valuable asset. There are also exciting features like red-and-black leather seats and a red leather-wrapped instrument panel bolster; the bursts of red really give the Rubicon a fierce and sporty, yet luxurious, feeling.

In classic Wrangler Rubicon style, the 20th Anniversary Edition also includes a great number of features to help capitalize on your off-road experience. Features include heavy-duty steel rock sliders for maximum obstacle handling and a gorilla glass windshield, which is ready to withstand harder hits than your average commuter vehicle. For those who like to get a holistic view of their off-roading venture, an integrated front off-road camera makes sure that you see everything there is to see, giving you a safe, effective, and well-navigated off-road adventure. The 2023 Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition truly is unlike any Wrangler that has come before, and it is a huge piece of Jeep’s history.

The Wrangler Is a Favorite for a Reason

As we said at the beginning, the Wrangler is one of the most instantly-recognizable vehicles in history. Jeep’s iconic seven-slot grille, strong architecture, and circular headlamps distinguish it immediately from other vehicle brands, but what really sets it apart from other vehicles is the way in which it has defined and led the way for off-road vehicles throughout its history. 2023 is a big year for the Wrangler, with the High Tide model as well as the Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition. Whether you’re looking to hit the trails or want something that marks Jeep’s constant innovation in the market, the Wrangler is ready to tackle your adventure.
