Maintaining Your Carās Life in the Rocky Mountain State
From oil changes to tire changes and more, weāll help you get your car back to Colorado Springs roads in no time. We want you to enjoy your drive. Take in the beautiful mountain scenery. Driving in Colorado can be a challenge, even for the most experienced driver. Snow can block the road for days on end. The altitude can make your engine work harder and harder, constantly calling for more air in order to create that necessary combustion. We get rain, hail, and storms that could knock you off the road if you donāt have the right set of tires. It's a beautiful state, but it could eat you up if youāre not prepared.
Thatās why The Faricy Boys wants to make sure that your car is in the best possible shape to take whatever grand olā Colorado can throw at you. Weāll set you up with the right air filters, the right oil, the right tires, and the right car for you. We want you to know our commitment is not just to your vehicle's life but yours as well. New cars may be brimming with fantastic new safety technology, but at the end of the day, it's the connection between driver and machine thatās going to make the difference.

How Often Should You Change Your Oil?
Thereās a question we often hear that needs to be answered: just how often should you come in for your oil change? Well, there are two pretty easy answers: when you reach the mileage on that little window sticker we gave you from your last one or when that oil light comes on. In all seriousness, donāt forget about or put off your oil change. They may seem like nothing at first, but neglecting to change your oil on a regular basis could spell catastrophe for your car. And the less you have to shell out of your wallet for costly engine repairs, the better.
But when do you know the time is right for an oil change? Well, the standard estimated time for an oil change is around every 3,000 miles or every 6 monthsāāwhichever comes first. Newer cars can usually go a bit further, sometimes up to 6,000 miles or so, before they need an oil change. Youāll also be able to tell when you need an oil change through your vehicle. Nearly all modern vehicles are outfitted with a system that will analyze the oil life in your engine and tell you when you are going to need a change. You can also check your owner's manual for an estimated time frame of when you should get your oil changes or just check your oil levels the old-fashioned way by using the dipstick.
Youāll also be able to tell you need an oil change just by the way your engine is behaving. If itās not performing the way it should, that likely means there is friction in the engine. Things arenāt lubricated very well, causing faults in vehicle performance. Youāll often be able to hear it by the sound your engine makes. If it sounds rough, bring it in, and weāll fix it for you.
